Guilherme is a photographer and videographer that lives in Dublin. Born and raised in the south of Brazil, he decided to move to Ireland when he was 22, and one of the last gifts given by his family was a camera so that he could document all the adventures, moments and new places he was about to discover. In just a few weeks, one of Guilherme’s pictures already made the cover of the local newspaper saying goodbye to 2014, with the picture of a sunset nearby the house where he grew.
Don’t tell anyone, but that picture was taken in Auto mode, with the in-camera setting for sunset. shhh
Time passed, and photography became a more significant part of Guilherme’s life. Soon he started looking for courses to learn about the camera itself and the different editing software available. Then, when the pandemic hit… Guilherme then finally had some free time and he invested in education to improve its work quality and spent hours and hours learning from different artists whose works are seen as references and inspiration. From paid courses to YouTube, Guilherme did his own marathon of knowledge during the months that he couldn’t leave the house, with a rigorous schedule, so he would continue hitting his objectives.
Guilherme started learning about videography during the lockdowns. After hundreds of hours learning about different camera settings, angles, lighting techniques, software and others, Guilherme decided to put that theory into practice.
Guilherme is passionate about photography and videography and can spend hours working on a single project without even noticing it. Just the other day, he spent over an hour editing a single picture that he is not even planning to post anywhere, just to practise different skills on it.
During one year Guilherme worked full-time with the team from TheTaste.ie where he lived photography and videography everysingle day, learning different techniques, creating different content everyday, and perfecting what was seen as the best practices by the industry. When Guilherme left the full-time 9 to 5 life, Possa Media was created with the ambition to put all this knowledge and experience into projects made specifically to every businesses needs.
